Metal Complexes and their Interaction with DNA
We are interested in the interaction of metal complexes with DNA with the aim of achieving targeted photosensitized modification of DNA, Figure 7. This involves the synthesis of metal complexes, typically based on Ru(II) polypyridyls, followed by their full photophysical evaluation. This work is carried out in collaboration with Prof John M Kelly, Trinity College Dublin.
